Felkészülés a jövőre
Április 21-én tartotta szemléletformáló projektjének zárórendezvényét a közelmúltban megújult Móra Ferenc Általános Iskola. A rendezvényt nem véletlenül a Föld napjára időzítették, hisz a fenntartható iskola és az energiahatékonyság témaköre ezen a különleges napon az átlagnál is nagyobb hangsúlyt érdemel. A zuglói iskolába immár sokadik alkalommal Karácsony Gergely polgármester is ellátogatott, aki szintén kihangsúlyozta, hogy az a fejlesztés, amely a Norvég Alap segítségével a Móra Ferenc Általános Iskolában megvalósult, már a jövőt is megtestesíti.
– A mostani szélsőséges időjárás is a világ változását bizonyítja, melyre időben fel kell készítenünk a gyerekeinket – mondta a polgármester. A Föld napi rendezvényen külsős szakemberek – egyetemi hallgatók és az Energiaklub képviselői – tartottak foglalkozásokat és előadásokat a gyerekeknek. A programokon az iskola valamennyi diákja részt vett. Ezek között olyan érdekességek is szerepeltek, mint az ökolábnyom mérése vagy például a komposztálás. Ugyancsak ezen a napon történt a korábban meghirdetett rajz-, illetve esszé- és meseíró pályázatnak az eredményhirdetése is. Az előbbire alsó- felső tagozatban 130 pályamű érkezett, az utóbbiban pedig mindkét kategóriában 20-20 munka közül választotta ki a zsűri a legjobb alkotásokat. A nyertesek a tárgyjutalmak mellett a Csodák Palotájába szóló belépőket is nyertek.
A zuglói iskola teljes körű felújítása és az ahhoz kapcsolódó szemléletformáló projekt ezzel befejeződött. A szervezők a munkálatokról és az iskola, az önkormányzat és a Norvég Alap együttműködéséről, annak eredményeiről egy kiadványt fognak készíteni, amely elektronikus formában az önkormányzat és az iskola honlapján is elérhető lesz. Ugyancsak a projekthez kapcsolódik, hogy április végén három napra egy húszfős, pedagógusokból és köztisztviselőkből álló delegáció utazott Norvégiába (Oslóba és környékére), hogy az ottani önkormányzati és iskolarendszerrel, illetve környezettudatos szemlélettel ismerkedjen.

Preparing for the Future
The closing ceremony of the transformational project was held on April 21st in the recently renovated Móra Ferenc Primary School. The event was planned to take place on International Earth Day, since sustainable schools and saving energy are causes that need to be stressed increasingly. Mayor Gergely Karácsony also visited the school in Zugló and he emphasised that the project, funded by the EGT Fund and carried out in Móra Ferenc Primary School, represents future development.
– The radical weather we are experiencing right now also shows that we need to start preparing our children for climate change – said the mayor. At the event, held on Earth Day, the students could listen to presentations by experts and researchers and university students. These included presentations about our ecological footprint and the practice of composting. The results of the drawing and essay-writing competition were also announced on this day. The drawing competition received 130 submissions from younger and older students alike, while the 20 younger and 20 older students submitted essays in two categories. A panel of experts selected the best works and the winners received tickets to the Palace of Wonders.
The complete renovation of the school and the eye-opening project has come to an end. The organisers are publishing a detailed account of the building process, and of the successful cooperation between the school, the municipality and the Norwegian Fund. This will be available to read in electronic form on the website of the municipality as well as the school. Also in connection to this project, a delegation of teachers and civil servants travelled to Norway (to the Oslo area) at the end of April with the intention of getting acquainted with the Norwegian school system and eco-friendly perspective.
